This type of work tool, known in technical jargon as a tracked dozer, is used for heavy-duty digging and clearing work, even in rough terrain, right up to fine grading. Bruder, as the holder of the international Cat® license for model plastic toy vehicles, is introducing such a model in 1:16 scale. In typical Bruder style, the tracked dozer recreates realism; it features a pivoting and tilting blade for all clearing and grading work, and the multi-tooth ripper allows for soil loosening even in the most difficult terrain. The real single-link chain gives the vehicle excellent running characteristics. The tracked dozer is another vehicle in the highly successful Bruder "Small Vehicles" range. With it, Bruder proves once again that high-quality toys, Made in Germany, are feasible at affordable prices and are highly valued by consumers.

The fine grading control is surprisingly precise for a toy this size — my kids have been using it to level out a sandbox with impressive accuracy.

My son has been pushing dirt around the sandbox with this thing for weeks and the blade still tilts and lifts smoothly. The tracks handle rough gravel better than I expected for a toy this size. Solid little dozer, honestly.

The tracks actually roll and the blade raises and lowers, which my nephew figured out in about two minutes. It's survived being dragged through sand and gravel all summer, and the metal parts still feel solid.
