The side-pivoting excavator arm works perfectly for digging in our crowded flower beds without knocking things over. It's surprisingly sturdy and the controls are smooth enough for a 4-year-old to operate.
My little guy has been running this thing across the patio for a week straight, and the compact size means he can navigate between the planters without knocking anything over. The pivoting arm keeps him entertained for hours, spinning it side to side like he's on a real job site.
The side-pivoting arm is what sold me — my kid can dig right up against the fence without me worrying about the swing. The size fits in our narrow flower bed, yet it still feels sturdy. Even the neighbor's kids ask to come over and play with it.
