Bruder Man TGS Garbage Truck Setup Guide

Quick Answer

Set up the Bruder Man TGS Side Loading Garbage Truck by removing it from the box, attaching the side lifter, and testing the mechanism before play.

Setup Steps

1. Unbox and Inspect: Remove the truck and all parts from the box. Check that the side lifter, cab, and wheels are present and free of any shipping damage. Keep the box and packaging for storage or returns; note any missing parts before playing.
2. Attach the Side Lifter: Align the side lifter with the mounting points on the truck body and press firmly until it clicks into place. If it doesn't click, check for obstructions. Avoid forcing the lifter; if it doesn't snap in, remove and re-align it.
3. Test the Mechanism: Move the side lifter through its full range of motion to ensure it extends and retracts smoothly. Also rotate the wheels and tilt the cab if applicable. If any part feels stiff, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the pivot points.
4. Prepare for Play: Place the truck on a flat surface and practice using the side lifter with small toy bins or pretend trash bags. Ensure the lifter can lift without tipping the truck. For stability, load the truck bed evenly before operating the lifter.
