Quick answer
The Bruder 02425 Articulated Wheel Loader FR 130 is a detailed 1:16 scale construction toy with a lockable, tiltable bucket and articulated steering—ideal for sandbox or indoor play.
What's in the box
The Bruder 02425 Articulated Wheel Loader FR 130 arrives fully assembled in a branded box. Inside you'll find the wheel loader itself, plus a set of stickers to apply for extra realism. No tools or batteries are needed—this is a pure push-and-play vehicle.
Play ideas to try
The lockable bucket arm lets you scoop and lift small loads like sand, pebbles, or toy blocks. The tilting bucket adds a realistic dumping action. Use the articulated steering to navigate tight corners in a sandbox or around a play mat layout.
- Create a mini construction site with other Bruder vehicles for convoy play.
- Use the loader to move pretend gravel from one pile to a toy dump truck.
- Practice fine motor skills by scooping and dumping without spilling.
Trade-offs to consider
Because the loader is made of hard plastic and has small moving parts, it's best for children ages 3 and up under supervision. The articulated steering requires a bit of hand strength to turn, so very young toddlers may need help. There are no sound or light effects—this is a classic manual toy.
How to decide if this wheel loader is right for you
- Check the scale: At 15.7 x 6 x 7.2 inches, this 1:16 model fits well with other Bruder vehicles and most standard toy construction sets.
- Consider the play space: Articulated steering works best on flat or slightly uneven surfaces like a sandbox, carpet, or smooth floor. Very soft sand may bog down the wheels. Test on a small patch first if using in deep sand.
- Think about age and supervision: Suitable for ages 3 and up. The lockable bucket arm includes small moving parts that could pinch fingers—supervise younger children during play. For ages 3+, with adult guidance on bucket operation.
- Match the play style: Best for kids who enjoy manual, imaginative construction play rather than electronic or remote-control toys. No batteries required.
