Bruder 02827 Mack Granite Tanker Truck: What's in the Box

Quick answer

The Bruder 02827 Mack Granite Tanker Truck includes the cab and tanker body, measuring 23.5 x 7.3 x 9.4 inches. It is a detailed, ready-to-play commercial vehicle for kids who like trucks with a real-world job. If you want a Mack-branded tanker that looks the part on a shelf or in a sandbox, this is a solid pick.

What exactly comes in the box?

You get the Mack Granite tanker truck itself, with the driver's cab and vehicle body already assembled. There are no separate trailers or figures included. The product listing describes the cab and body as the main components, so you can hand it to a child and they can start playing right away. The dimensions are 23.5 inches long, 7.3 inches wide, and 9.4 inches tall, which makes it a substantial toy that stands out in a collection.

How big is it compared to other Bruder trucks?

At 23.5 inches long, the 02827 is on the larger end of the Bruder range, similar in length to many of their commercial vehicles. It is not a pocket-sized toy. The 9.4-inch height means it will not fit on a narrow shelf, so plan for some display space. For kids, the size makes it easy to grip and push around, but younger children may need two hands to lift it.

What age is the Bruder 02827 best for?

Bruder toys are generally designed for children aged 3 and up, and this tanker fits that pattern. The truck has no small parts that come loose in normal play, but it is not a bath toy or a remote-control vehicle. It works best for kids who enjoy pretend play with vehicles that have a clear role, like delivering fuel or working on a job site. If your child prefers fantasy toys, this may sit on the shelf more than you'd like.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes, the Mack Granite Tanker Truck can go outside. Bruder builds their vehicles for indoor and outdoor play, and the plastic construction handles dirt and sand. However, it is not waterproof in the sense of being submersible, and you should avoid leaving it in direct sun for long periods because the colors can fade. A quick wipe with a damp cloth is usually enough to clean it after outdoor play.

Is the tanker body functional?

The product listing does not mention any working pump, valve, or water feature. The tanker body is a molded part of the vehicle, not a functioning tank. That means kids use it as a prop for imaginary fuel delivery, not as a water toy. If you want a truck that actually holds and pours water, this is not that. If you want a realistic-looking tanker for storytelling, it does the job.

How does it compare to other Bruder commercial trucks?

Bruder makes several commercial vehicles, including the Ram 2500 Service Truck with Rotating Beacon and the bworld Car Service Center with Roadster. The Ram is a pickup with a service body and a rotating beacon, while the 02827 is a dedicated tanker. The bworld set is a playset with a building and a smaller car, so it serves a different kind of play. If your child specifically wants a fuel truck, the 02827 is the direct choice. If they want a service vehicle with lights, the Ram is the better fit.

Bruder 02827 quick FAQ

Does it come with a driver figure?

No. The listing describes only the cab and vehicle body. You would need to add a bworld figure separately if you want a driver. Plan for an extra figure if your child expects one.

Is it 1:16 scale?

Bruder's standard scale is 1:16, but the product listing does not state a scale for this item. The dimensions are the reliable guide. Use the 23.5-inch length to judge fit with other toys.

Can the tanker hold liquid?

The listing does not mention any liquid capacity or working parts. Treat it as a solid molded body. Do not expect it to function as a water toy.
