Bruder 02685 Sprinter Police Special Forces: What's in the Box

Start with the confirmed contents, not assumptions

The Bruder 02685 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Police Special Forces with Police Figure is a toy vehicle set. According to the supplied catalog record, the box pairs a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter police vehicle with a police figure. That is the core of what you can plan around: one vehicle and one figure, themed to Police Special Forces.

The record also lists the set as part of the Emergency and New Toys range. It does not list additional accessories, lights, sounds, or opening parts. If you are buying for a child who expects those features, treat them as unconfirmed rather than promised. The safest setup plan is to unbox the vehicle and figure, check them for damage, and then build a simple patrol scene around what is actually in the box.

Catalog facts that shape your setup

• Bruder 02685 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Police Special Forces with Police Figure 24.12.8: The set includes a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter police vehicle and a police figure. This is the complete confirmed play set, so your first setup step is simply pairing the figure with the vehicle.

• Bruder 02685 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Police Special Forces with Police Figure 24.12.8: The theme is Police Special Forces. Use that theme when you choose a play scenario, such as a special-forces patrol or checkpoint, rather than a generic police stop.
• Bruder 02685 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Police Special Forces with Police Figure 24.12.8: Vehicle body dimensions are listed as 17.1 x 6.4 x 7.3 inch. These are the only supplied measurements; use them to judge shelf or play-table space, and measure your own space rather than assuming a fit.

A simple setup routine for the Sprinter and figure

The catalog does not provide assembly instructions or confirm that the figure can be posed or placed inside the vehicle. The steps below stick to what the record supports: unboxing, checking, and arranging the two confirmed pieces for pretend play.

1. Unbox and inspect: Remove the Sprinter vehicle and the police figure from the packaging. Check both for visible damage before play, since the record does not describe replacement parts or a warranty process.
2. Clear a play space: Use the supplied vehicle body dimensions (17.1 x 6.4 x 7.3 inch) as a rough footprint guide. Measure your shelf or table rather than guessing, because the record gives no clearance or turning-radius guidance.
3. Place the figure with the vehicle: The set is designed for pretend play with the figure and vehicle together. The catalog does not confirm a specific seating position or attachment point, so let the child decide how the officer rides along.
4. Set the scene: Use the Police Special Forces theme to frame the play. A checkpoint, a patrol route, or a special-forces response are all consistent with the supplied theme; the record does not prescribe a scenario.
5. Store the pair together: Keep the figure with the vehicle between play sessions so the set stays complete. The catalog does not specify a storage method, so a simple labeled bin or shelf space is enough.

What the catalog does not confirm

Several details that buyers often ask about are simply not in the supplied record. It does not confirm lights, sound effects, opening doors, or moving parts. It does not list the figure's scale, articulation, or whether the figure can sit inside the cab. It also does not provide care instructions, age guidance, or battery requirements.

That absence is a limitation of the supplied information, not proof that the physical product lacks a feature. If one of those details matters for your purchase, check the product packaging or ask the seller before buying. For play planning, build your expectations around the two confirmed elements: the Sprinter police vehicle and the police figure.

How the 02685 fits into a Bruder emergency collection

If you already own other Bruder emergency vehicles, the 02685 adds a Police Special Forces Sprinter and a matching figure. The catalog does not state a common scale or confirm that figures from other sets are interchangeable, so treat it as a standalone set rather than a guaranteed expansion pack. The listed price of USD 64.01, compared with a catalog comparison price of USD 96.99, makes it a relatively low-risk way to add a police vehicle and figure to a collection.

For a child who wants a ready-to-play police pair, the 02685 is straightforward: vehicle plus figure, no confirmed extras to assemble. For a buyer who specifically wants lights, sounds, or opening parts, the supplied record does not support those expectations, so confirm them before you buy.
